Job Summary: The Deputy Manager - HR is responsible for assisting the Vice President - HR in managing day-to-day HR operations, implementing HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, and training initiatives. This role also involves ensuring compliance with company policies and labour laws, fostering employee engagement, and supporting organizational development activities. The position acts as a key liaison between employees and management. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection. Conduct background checks and coordinate with departments for smooth onboarding. Ensure proper induction and training of new employees. Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, ensuring timely resolution. HR Policies & Compliance: Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment standards, and organizational policies. Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Performance Management: Assist in managing the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely reviews and feedback. Coordinate with department heads to monitor employee performance and productivity. Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee training programs. Track and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Compensation & Benefits: HR Systems & Reporting: Maintain and update HR systems for employee records, attendance, and leave management. Generate and analyze HR reports related to headcount, turnover, recruitment, etc. Monitor and report on key HR metrics. Employee Engagement & Retention: Support in the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives. Collaborate with department heads to address employee retention issues. Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Masters in HR is a plus). Experience: 5+ years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Skills: Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour laws, and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Proficiency in HR software and MS Office. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Leadership and team management capabilities. Key Competencies: Strong ethical standards and confidentiality.
