As part of our GDS Consulting team, you will be part of Digital & Emerging team delivering specific to Microsoft account. You will be working on latest Microsoft BI technologies and will collaborate with other teams within Consulting services.
We re looking for resources with expertise in Microsoft BI, Power BI, Azure Data Factory to join the group of our Data Visualization team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of our service offering.
Your key responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards that are visually compelling and functionally robust.
Create and maintain data models, ensuring optimal performance and usability.
Build and manage Power BI Dataflows to standardize and transform data.
Utilize Power Query for data transformation and cleansing.
Develop efficient data models to support self-service reporting and advanced analytics.
Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
Leverage Azure SQL and other Azure services to integrate and manage data for reporting and analytics.
Collaborate with data engineers to design ETL pipelines for batch and real-time data.
Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Partner with data engineers, analysts, and other teams to ensure cohesive data strategies.
Implement and enforce best practices for Power BI governance, including dataset management, version control, and role-based access.
Ensure compliance with organizational data policies and standards.
Provide guidance and training to junior developers and analysts on Power BI tools and techniques.
Act as a subject matter expert for Power BI within the organization
Skills and attributes for success
Collaborating with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, risk assessments and other documents/templates.
Able to manage Senior stakeholders.
Experience in leading teams to execute high quality deliverables within stipulated timeline.
Must-Have Skills
Expertise in Power BI, including Power BI Fabric, Power Query, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
Strong experience in data modelling for Power BI solutions.
Proficiency in creating and managing Power BI Dataflows.
Hands-on experience with SQL for data integration and management.
Good-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL processes.
Familiarity with Azure services like Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Databricks, or Azure Synapse.
Experience with Dataverse for data integration.
Programming expertise in PySpark for advanced data transformations.
Understanding of cloud and data security best practices. One or more of the following databases Oracle, SQL, Azure SQL.
Familiarity with or experience using Co-pilot for enhanced collaboration and development.
Certifications (Preferred)
DP-600 Designing and Implementing a Data Platform Solution.
PL-300 Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst.

To qualify for the role, you must have
3.5-8 years of hands-on experience with Power BI and related technologies.
Experience in implementing end-to-end business intelligence solutions.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ideally, you ll also have
Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products.
Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
