Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- API Design and Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or gRPC APIs.
- Create and maintain API documentation (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure API standards are followed.
- Ensure API performance, scalability, and security.
- Kafka Modeling and Architecture:
- Design and implement Kafka-based data pipelines for real-time data streaming.
- Model data structures and Kafka topics for efficient data processing.
- Design and implement Kafka Connectors for data integration.
- Ensure Kafka cluster performance, scalability, and availability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka-related issues.
- Data Integration:
- Design and implement solutions for integrating data from various sources using Kafka.
- Ensure data consistency and quality across different systems.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum 10+ years' experience in API and Kafka modeler, JSON schema creation, API Swagger creation.
Strong SQL/Unix knowledge.
Good to have Big Data/Hadoop experience.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins.
Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualification:
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or higher.
