Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP for US and India.-
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file US federal, state, and local tax returns as well as India
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations in US and India
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for US and India
- Respond to tax notices and audits for US and India
Auditing:
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with audit standards.
General Accounting:
- Perform general ledger accounting duties, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends and variances. Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting pronouncements and regulations for US and India
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Certification: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- Experience: 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience required
- Experience in Technology preferred
- Experience with Quick Books preferred
Skills
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ethical and professional conduct.
