Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Workday IT Program Manager to lead and oversee complex Workday programs spanning multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. This role requires strong technical expertise in Workday, SaaS implementations, and program governance, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of Workday solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale programs, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Act as IT Project Manager with responsibility for IT deliverables working with the HR project lead, HR and IT teams deliver the project objectives
- Proactively manage risks and issues throughout. Maintain Risk and Issues and Decisions (RAID) log, Project status reporting, IT governance and project financial management processes.
- Maintain effective project controls for driving delivery, scope management, stakeholder management, communications, plans and audit readiness.
- Support impact assessment of scope change requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and manage the overall Workday program roadmap, aligning with business priorities.
- Oversee multiple Workday projects, ensuring interdependencies, risks, and resources are managed effectively.
- Define governance structures, KPIs, and success metrics for program execution.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with multiple key stakeholders and teams to define program objectives.
- Engage with executive leadership, providing regular updates on program progress, risks, and impact.
- Act as the primary escalation point for program challenges, driving resolution and alignment.
- Workday Implementation & Technical Oversight:
- Lead end-to-end Workday implementations, ensuring successful system configuration and data integration.
- Any system integrations within and outside workday.
- Program Risk & Change Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks across multiple projects, proactively addressing potential roadblocks.
- Drive change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of Workday solutions.
- Develop and execute communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Program & Project Management Expertise:
- 8+ years of experience managing Workday or large-scale IT programs.
- Strong understanding of program governance, resource planning, and risk management.
- PMP, Agile, or Workday certifications preferred.
- Workday Technical Knowledge:
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM, Finance, Payroll, Security, and Business Processes.
- Strong expertise in Workday integrations
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Experience working in global organization and across functional boundaries
- Excellent relationship management, and influencing skills
- A self-driven nature.
- Ability to manage executive stakeholders and communicate complex technical details effectively.
- Experience handling client-facing implementations and managing expectations.
- Technical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Workday Extend development.
- Strong background in Workday security and compliance.
