Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant Data Governance Architect! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Functional Architect specializing in Data Governance to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is responsible for designing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure data integrity, security, and quality across the organization. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including IT, business units, and data stewards, to develop and enforce data governance standards and best practices. Role And Responsibilities Data Governance Framework Design: Develop and maintain the organization's data governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Define data governance policies, standards, and procedures. Establish data ownership and stewardship roles and responsibilities. Data Quality Management: Implement data quality management practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data. Define and monitor data quality metrics and KPIs. Collaborate with data stewards and business units to resolve data quality issues. Data Privacy and Security: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal security policies. Develop and enforce data access controls and security measures. Conduct regular data audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units to understand data needs and ensure data governance practices support business objectives. Partner with IT to integrate data governance requirements into data architecture and systems. Facilitate Data Governance forums and workshops with relevant stakeholders to promote adherence to governance policies and best practices Data Governance Tools and Technologies: Evaluate and recommend data governance tools and technologies. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of data governance solutions. Ensure integration of data governance tools with existing data management systems. Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor compliance with data governance policies and standards. Identify and address data-related risks and issues. Maintain documentation of data governance activities and decisions. Qualifications we seek in you! Education Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. Experience Relevant experience in data governance, data management, or a related role. Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies. Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) is preferred. Skills Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices. Excellent knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in data quality management techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to drive initiatives independently. Preferred Qualifications Relevant certifications (e.g., DAMA Certified Data Management Professional, Certified Information Privacy Professional) are a plus.
