About the Opportunity VSEP invites applications from passionate and qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Professor in Economics. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a young, interdisciplinary school shaping conversations around economics and public policy in India and beyond. We are particularly keen to hear from early-career scholars eager to make a mark in teaching and research. Key Responsibilities (Not limited to) Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics. Engage in high-quality, independent, and collaborative research leading to peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Mentor and supervise postgraduate student research. Contribute to curriculum development and other academic initiatives within the School. Participate in institutional development, governance, and outreach. Eligibility & Qualifications A Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related discipline. Applicants who have submitted their thesis and await viva/degree may also apply. Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research. A strong interest in interdisciplinary and applied policy research. Preferred areas of specialization: Health Economics, Macroeconomics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics. Familiarity with research tools/software such as R, Python, STATA, or similar platforms is a distinct advantage. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
