Job Description

General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Present findings and trends to management, highlighting any discrepancies or opportunities for improvement.

Account Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and others.

Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation is provided and any questions from auditors are promptly addressed.

Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation of tax filings, including sales tax, VAT, and corporate income tax returns. Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations.

Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements in accounting procedures and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as necessary. Review their work and ensure adherence to accounting policies.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with the budgeting process, including data gathering and analysis, and support the forecasting process.

Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Identify and mitigate any risks related to financial reporting.

Ad-Hoc Reporting & Analysis: Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis as needed by senior management.
