Linux Admin with shell Scripting - Pune/ Bangalore - 4 to 6 yrs

About the team

The Capital Markets CIO RISC Team (CMCRT) is responsible for the governance of vulnerabilities across the Capital Markets CIO owned platforms. With our experience and expertise, we provide analysis regarding your existing risk profile and assist with creating and actioning the remediation plans. CMCRT is the one point of contact regarding FIS RISC initiatives across Capital Markets CIO Platforms. All requests and inquiries will funnel through this team to increase efficiency and accountability. This document will outline the procedure CMCRT uses to Analyze, Assess, and Coordinate the remediation of vulnerabilities discovered through FIS approved scanning tools and internal / external penetration tests.

What you will be doing:

• He will be responsible for Application and System related tasks, Automation, Programming, Data Backup and conclusion

• Automation and helping in fixing Linux vulnerabilities

• Secondary Windows proficiency like creating a batch script and PowerShell.

• Should have basic idea on cloud related vulnerabilities

• If a script is a batch process, use an emailing mechanism for all fatal exceptions. Also stream the exceptions to a monitoring framework via a UDP stream, if the script checks something super critical.

• If you re using any library, wrap it in your own class. You ll need to protect the client code (or scripts) from language upgrades and/or whenever you have to move the scripts to a newer OS distribution (such as during the dreaded data centre migrations).

• Document your class in a knowledgebase. If it requires special markups (ie perlpod tags), take the time to fill it out in case someone wants to try perldoc or pydoc on it. Provide a link to the knowledgebase article in the usage function and/or in the class documentation

What you bring:

• Very good understanding of Shell Scripting, Unix, Linux Operating System. Basic Knowledge of Windows Servers

• PowerShell and Basic Java would be added advantages

• Good Knowledge of Windows Operating System and, ITIL Good to Have

• Resolve basic job failures technical issues

• Create batch status report as per agreed frequency timings

• Candidate must be able to write shell scripts
