Job Description

The Role Responsibilities

Business

  • Responsible for identifying and addressing client needs.
  • Responsible for technical solution, designing, implementing, and / or assessing Operation Risk and Business banking domain.
  • Responsible for Visualize and implement solution to business challenges, work closely with Product Owner and Scrum team.
  • Awareness and understanding of the API product objectives.

Processes

  • Good understanding of the Agile Delivery Methodology.
  • Responsible for defining Business Intelligence architecture and solution design, implementation and delivery.
  • Responsible for optimizing business processes through use of technology.
  • Responsible for adapting to meet the client s needs.
  • Responsible for aligning the projects to the technical architectures, standards, and practices.

People and Talent

  • Develop and sustain good relationships with clients.
  • Should have good Analytical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Should have Strong leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills.

Risk Management

  • Ability to identify and manage project risks and mitigation plans.

Governance

  • Awareness and understanding of the API governance and attestation process.
  • Learn and adapt to SCB architecture review and SACA process.

Regulatory and Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Engineering or MCA degree from a reputed university

Technical

  • 10 years hands-on experience in designing and leading development and delivering enterprise class JEE applications
  • Database - Oracle / PostgreSQL
  • Database Fundamentals
  • SQL Programming
  • Query Tuning
  • Unit Testing and Testing Frameworks like Jasmine, Junit, SOAPUI, Selenium
  • Application Server experience Tomcat, etc
  • Deployment
  • Platform - RHEL LINUX

Non-Technical

  • Technically lead / supervise smaller team of developers with any of above technical skills
  • Technical Estimation of tasks
  • Tasks Management for the team using tools like JIRA, Confluence
  • Effective negotiation, spoken and written communication skills

Role Specific Technical Competencies

  • Java Enterprise Application Development experience
  • Web Development Architecture and Development Experience using
    • Spring Framework( Container, Remoting, Web Services, Security)
    • Hibernate
    • Web Services
    • RestFul Services
    • XML, JSON
  • Transaction Management
  • Integration experience using tools like WebMethods / Restful API / Solace / IMFT
    • Devops (CI / CD) - Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, git; Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform, Packer, Rundeck, Ansible
    • Cloud - AWS hands on experience in managing ( EC2, RDS, S3, ELB)
    • Agile ways of working
    • API development and microservices
