1. Sensor Design & Development (Lidar, Radar & Automotive Sensors)
Lead the design, prototyping, and development of automotive sensing systems including Lidar, Radar (77 GHz, 79 GHz), Camera-based perception, ultrasonic, and other environmental sensors.
Develop sensor fusion algorithms integrating multiple sensor modalities for ADAS, autonomous driving, and active safety systems.
Work on signal processing, real-time object detection, and classification techniques using Lidar point clouds and radar reflections.
Optimize sensor accuracy, range, resolution, and performance in diverse environmental conditions.
2. Hardware & Software Integration
Design high-performance sensor modules, including PCB layout, RF design, and embedded systems for Lidar and Radar.
Work on automotive-grade AI/ML-based perception software to enhance sensor capabilities.
Develop and implement advanced filtering techniques (Kalman Filter, Particle Filter, Deep Learning-based Sensor Fusion) to improve object detection and tracking.
Ensure seamless integration with ECUs, vehicle control systems, and communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C).
3. Functional Safety & Compliance
Develop sensors complying with ISO 26262 (ASIL A-D) Functional Safety, NCAP, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), AEC-Q100/Q200, and RF emission standards for Radar/Lidar.
Conduct FMEA, DFMEA, and fault diagnostics to enhance the safety and reliability of sensor systems.
4. Validation, Testing & Calibration
Establish HIL, DIL, SIL, and real-world testing frameworks for Lidar, Radar, and sensor validation.
Optimize sensor performance using machine learning and deep learning techniques in sensor calibration and environmental adaptation.
Conduct EMC/EMI testing, environmental durability testing, and field validation to meet automotive-grade standards.
5. Leadership & Strategic Technology Development
Define the sensor technology roadmap for next-generation ADAS and autonomous vehicle applications.
Lead a team of hardware engineers, AI/ML experts, embedded software developers, and system architects to drive sensor innovation.
Collaborate with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, semiconductor partners, and global R&D centers for cutting-edge sensor development.
Drive cost optimization and VAVE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) initiatives to develop cost-effective, high-performance sensor solutions.
