PHP Developer (PrestaShop & WordPress) @ Oracle

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with expertise in PrestaShop and WordPress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining e-commerce and CMS-based websites. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications while ensuring seamless integration with third-party services. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, customize, and maintain PrestaShop and WordPress websites. - Create and modify themes, plugins, and modules to meet business requirements. - Optimize website performance, security, and database efficiency. - Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing PrestaShop & WordPress setups. - Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. - Ensure code follows best practices, is well-documented, and adheres to industry standards. - Stay updated with the latest trends in PHP, PrestaShop, and WordPress development. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 3+ years of PHP development experience, with a strong understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and design patterns. - Proven experience with PrestaShop (module development, theme customization, performance optimization). - Strong WordPress expertise (custom theme/plugin development, REST API, Gutenberg blocks). - Proficiency in MySQL, JavaScript (jQuery, Vue.js, or React is a plus), HTML5, and CSS3. - Experience with Git, Composer, and debugging tools (Xdebug, Chrome DevTools). - Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and server management (Apache/Nginx) is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: - Strong WooCommerce development skills (custom plugins, hooks, REST API integrations). - Ability to upgrade, maintain, and debug existing PrestaShop & WooCommerce modules. - Performance optimization expertise (caching, database indexing, lazy loading, CDN integration). - Deep knowledge of core PHP (without frameworks) for legacy system maintenance. - Familiarity with Symfony components (PrestaShop 8+) and WooCommerce hooks/filters. - Experience with headless e-commerce setups (PrestaShop/WordPress as a backend with React/Vue frontends).
