Job Description
- Document test phases, defects, and resolutions using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Provide regular quality metrics, defect reports, and actionable insights.
- Conduct thorough post-release testing to ensure stability and a smooth customer experience.
1. Test Design & Execution:
- Translate business and technical requirements into effective test strategies and test cases.
- Design, maintain, and execute functional, regression, and smoke test cases.
- Conduct web and mobile application testing (manual and automation), with a strong focus on user experience.
- Validate e-commerce workflows including product search, cart, checkout, and payment gateway integrations.
2. API & Database Testing:
- Perform API testing (REST/SOAP) for services like inventory management, order processing, and payment integrations.
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend validation (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
3. Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand and test key features.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers.
- Contribute to QA strategy and process improvements, especially in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
4. Monitoring & Reporting:
- Document test phases, defects, and resolutions using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Provide regular quality metrics, defect reports, and actionable insights.
- Conduct thorough post-release testing to ensure stability and a smooth customer experience.
Key Skills & Expertise:
- Strong understanding of e-commerce workflows and systems.
- Experience in web and mobile testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in API testing and database/SQL validation.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
- Good understanding of testing types Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, UAT.
