Technical Project Manager - Delhi - Boston @ Boston Consulting

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the technical reporting activities. Successful execution of this role will require an individual to:

• Manage gathering of technical design specifications, in partnership with the functional team; document, review and ensure functional requirements translate to technical specifications/user stories.
• Coordinate migrations including functional sign-off, technical code review, migration scripts, and validation in production. Identify technical dependencies and help to mitigate risk.
• Document and maintain technical processes including data load/validation checklists.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for incident management including outage communications and resolutions. Drive retrospective process and implementation of resolution.
• Own the management and continuous improvement for tools and processes for work item tracking, source control software, and incident and demand management.
• Represent the technical BIR team in IT cross-functional projects; coordinate BIR activities and dependencies, escalating to the BIR Architect appropriately.
• Coordination of technical sub-contractors including sourcing, contracting, on-boarding, and access termination.
• Manage the performance monitoring process and upgrade projects for supported applications, including SAP's Business Objects.
• Work with BCG Security, Database Architecture and other teams to drive compliance and follow internal standards.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelor/Master s degree, or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum of 6+ years project management experience with a strong technical background; experience with an enterprise reporting platform and Tableau preferred
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
• Proven experience managing complex projects across multiple functions. Experience with Finance stakeholders preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively on a distributed team.
• Strong skills in Windows office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
