Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with 5-8 years of experience in software testing, including hands-on experience in automation testing and manual testing.. The Senior Test Engineer will play a key role in leading testing efforts, ensuring the quality and reliability
Of our software products through effective test planning, execution, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies that encompass both manual and automated testing approaches. Define test objectives, scope, and priorities based on project requirements.
- Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise in both manual and automation testing. Coordinate resources and tasks to ensure efficient and effective testing.
- Manual Testing: Oversee the execution of manual test cases and scenarios, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. Review test cases created by the team and provide feedback as necessary.
- Automation Testing: Drive the implementation of test automation initiatives, leveraging automation tools and frameworks to increase testing efficiency and coverage. Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and suites.
- Test Framework Development: Design and develop test automation frameworks tailored to project requirements, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reusability of automated tests.
- Defect Management: Manage the identification, reporting, and resolution of defects, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely bug fixes. Implement strategies to minimize defect leakage and improve overall product quality.
- Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Ensure that testing activities adhere to quality standards, best practices, and industry regulations. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business analysts. Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test reports, automation scripts, and framework documentation. Ensure that all testing activities are well-documented and traceable.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering, or Equivalent Qualifications.
- 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with hands-on automation testing and proficiency in manual testing.
- Should have experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Java with Selenium (Eclipse IDE).
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Familiarity with agile and/or DevOps principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
