Job Description

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Test Delivery Lead who is driven and passionate about Testing and Quality, who can lead a team of testers in the analysis, design, planning, preparation, and execution of testing across an enterprise scale application landscape. A strong background in super, insurance and financial systems will be highly advantageous.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
  • Manage and be accountable for a team, catering to portfolio of programs/projects to ensure successful delivery and taking business on the quality journey.
  • Formulate an effective, practical but robust Test Strategy by coordinating with all relevant stakeholders considering a highly complex financial services environment.
  • Assess any quality gaps and keep the stakeholders informed in timely manner and suggest solution to resolve any blockers.
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish a continuous improvement process.
  • Strategize and govern all quality aspects of technology delivery with a key outcome to reduce the cost of change and increase quality into production.
Operational Management
  • Manage the full end to end testing lifecycle of assigned projects in a multi-vendor and in distributed delivery environment.
  • Define and deploy defect preventive process and measures in distributed delivery model across projects.
  • Manage the defect management activities such as prioritization, defect triage meeting with business & technology, work with relevant stakeholders to agree on workaround for outstanding defects and defects resolutions.
  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and adherence of testing department standards in partnership with other test team leadership.
  • Setup and implement the required test metrics across functional and automation deliverables, covering end-to-end processes.
People Leadership
  • Support the project team in leveraging testing tools to improve team productivity and effectiveness (Test Management, Defect Management, and Test Automation, Performance Testing).
  • Participate and guide the planning of SIT, UAT and other testing cycles across projects.
  • Provide clear roles and responsibilities to testing team across programs and projects and ensure best practises, methods, templates, and tools are implemented as per MUFG guidelines.
  • Coach and mentor team members to strengthen testing process related skill.
  • Lead and motivate the team to deliver quality and encourage team to strive for continuous improvement of both functional and automation streams.
Governance & Risk
  • Review and sign-off of testing artefacts like Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Evidence and Test Summary Reports.
  • Liaise with project team members including Development teams, technical analyst, Solution Designers, Architects, PMs, and other internal and external stakeholders to mitigate project delivery risk.
  • Review reports produced by the vendor, provide guidance, evolve process, and actively participate in resolving issues/roadblocks to testing progress.
  • Governance of Quality Assurance across full spectrum of the SDLC including Unit, SIT, end-to-end, Regression, Business (UAT) and PVT.
  • Support MUFG Group assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices.

Experience & Personal Attributes
Experience
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in a testing role with 3+ years in managing an end-to-end module, for complex to medium E2E integrated financial platform.
  • Strong end-to-end test management background within a fast-paced business and in complex IT application landscape.
  • Experience in Test Management tools like ALM, Confluence, Zephyr etc.
  • Working experience in an Agile scrum environment, expert in JIRA and Confluence or similar tools.
  • Hands on experience in improving Testing & QA capabilities with a strong awareness of industry developments and best practice.
  • Experience in building process, practices, and test team in distributed delivery model.
  • Experience in Superannuation/Insurance/BFSI domain is highly desirable.
  • Experience in API testing, Mobile app testing, Automation testing is highly desirable.
  • Certification in Domain/Testing/Delivery methodology like ISTQB, Agile is highly desirable.
  • Exposure in managing a multi-vendor engagement.
