Job Description

1. Loading and unloading: Loaders are responsible for efficiently and safely loading and unloading various items onto trucks, trailers, or other vehicles. This may include physical lifting, carrying, and positioning of materials.

2. Sorting and organizing: Loaders may be required to sort and organize materials or goods according to specific criteria, such as size, weight, or destination. This ensures efficient loading and unloading processes.

3. Operating equipment: Some loaders may operate machinery or equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems to assist with loading and unloading tasks. They must be trained in operating these equipment safely and proficiently.

4. Inventory control: Loaders may be responsible for keeping track of inventory levels, checking and verifying items against shipping documents or manifests, and reporting any discrepancies or damages to supervisors.

5. Safety compliance: Loaders must follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to goods. They may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols related to lifting, stacking, or securing loads.

6. Communication and documentation: Loaders may be required to communicate with truck drivers, warehouse personnel, or supervisors to coordinate loading and unloading activities. They may also need to complete documentation such as load sheets, delivery receipts, or inventory reports.

7. Maintenance and cleanliness: Loaders may be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including removing debris, ensuring proper storage of equipment, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.

8. Adhering to schedules: Loaders often work within specified time frames and schedules to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods. They need to be punctual and efficient in their work to meet deadlines.
