Job Description

You would work for Locations team which is authority for predictions of Amazons customer locations . This is a core platform team which enriches entire Amazon shopping( both delivery and pickup ) experience.

Key job responsibilities
- You design software solutions to enable new features or improve software. You may still require guidance from your team s leadership to ensure your designs are in alignment with your team s long-term architectural strategy.
- You are a significant contributor to the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, design, code, testing, deployment and maintenance of the teams software.
- You are active in the code review process on your team, providing meaningful feedback to others, including those who are more senior.
- You demonstrate operational excellence in all of your work.


A day in the life
- You document what your team s software does; how it is constructed, tested, and operated; how secure it is; and how it fits into the bigger picture. When new teammates join, you actively train them in these points.
- You work with customers, and peers to understand the business and customer value of your team s software in order to ensure you deliver the right solutions.
- You effectively make priority tradeoffs between new feature development and operational work.
- You actively mentor other engineers on your team. - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
