The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L2) is a developing engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their Cloud infrastructure remain operational through proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving cloud-based incidents, service requests and alerts. The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA) and focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of clients' cloud infrastructure and services.The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L2) may also contribute to support on project work as and when required.
What you'll be doing
Primary Skills - VMWare & Nutanix
Secondary Skills: Windows
Desired Skills:
Min 4 to 6 years of experience in managing and maintaining VMWare & Nutanix infrastructure.
Good troubleshooting skills in VMWare ESX, Vcenter, VSAN.
Proficiency in managing Nutanix clusters and components, including AHV, Prism, and Acropolis.
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and storage concepts.
Experience with networking concepts and services, including VLANs, VPNs, and network security.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and administration.
Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud integration is a plus.
Certifications: NCP, NCAP, VCP, VCAP
