Job Description

PostgreSQL developer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining databases using PostgreSQL in Movius's secure hosted environments. Requirements: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or related field. At least 7+ years of professional experience Database. Database Design: The PostgreSQL developer designs and implements database solutions using PostgreSQL that are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance. Programming: The PostgreSQL developer writes and maintains code to interact with the PostgreSQL database using programming languages such as SQL, PL/pgSQL, and Python. Query Optimization: The PostgreSQL developer optimizes queries to improve performance and ensure the database is responsive to user requests. Database Maintenance: The PostgreSQL developer maintains and monitors the database to ensure that it is functioning properly, is available for use, and is secure. Troubleshooting: The PostgreSQL developer troubleshoots and resolves issues related to the database, such as errors, crashes, and performance problems. Documentation: The PostgreSQL developer creates and maintains documentation related to the database schema, configuration, and administration. Collaboration: The PostgreSQL developer works collaboratively with other developers, database administrators, and stakeholders to ensure that the database is meeting the needs of the organization. Continuous Improvement: The PostgreSQL developer seeks out new ways to improve the database, both in terms of functionality and performance.
