Project Role & Description
As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient and reliable data pipelines.
Primary Key Skills
- Azure Databricks, including Unity Catalog and Workflows
- Strong SQL/T-SQL skills required
- Data Warehousing (Data Modeling, Data Cleansing, Data Mapping, Data Validation)
- Azure DevOps (CI/CD) Process, Github
- Python
Secondary Skills
- Microsoft Fabric / Power BI (Report Development, Power Query, DAX, RLS) Good to Have
- Azure Data Factory Good to have
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements.
- Develop and Maintain Data Models, ETL Pipelines, Data Ingestion, Data Extraction, and Data Validation
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical team to ensure data timeliness, accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Work in an agile development environment utilizing sprints in Azure Dev Ops
- Analzye new data sources to plan best method for data extraction and ingestion into the Data Lake
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security in accordance with company policy and industry best practices.
- Perform data quality testing on all new developments to ensure accuracy.
- Sense of ownership. Engages domain experts and team members to work through challenges to ensure timely project delivery. Self Starter.
- Strong Teamwork. Effectively partner with team members to drive outcomes and positively impact business.
- Review and keep up to date on developments in technology and, specifically, with new features available within our toolset.
- Detail Oriented. Quality and accuracy of data is the most important goal.
- Good communication skills in speech and writing. Fluent in English.
