Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated individual in joining the Modern Data Protection Team as a lead Subject Matter Expert with proficiency in C/C++, Python and have strong background in building system applications and integrations with other products like DB2, MongoDB , Exchange, SAP HANA , Oracle, VMWare with experience & knowledge of OpenShift container development.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Developer and one of the lead technical members of the team, you will be guiding the team of developers, testers and support engineers around you.

• You will work with the Product Architects, Product Managers and L2 Support team to understand various priorities and work towards the execution.
• You will be expected to provide technical expertise and excellence in the quality of design, code and defect fixes that will be released in the market place from time to time.
• You will provide vigilance and compliance to various software engineering, support and release processes e.g security, currency upgrades, stack that is free of vulnerabilities etc.
• You will be responsible for Full life cycle software development and maintenance from architecture through development, release and support.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in IT product development domain with proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python coding skills is mandatory
• Designing, coding, and debugging systems in C/C++ is required and exposure to other programming languages like Python will be an advantage
• Solid experience in writing code at Kernel level related to System I/O on Linux or other *NIX variant OR Windows at a product company OR has extensive experience in writing efficient C/C++ code for networking and system integration
• Experience with System Diagnostics and Optimizations is going to be a great advantage
• Storage experience is desirable but not mandatory
• Working knowledge of Inter-component interface design (both SW HW and application system software) is required
• Ability to build integration with existing infrastructure, and cross-team development to support existing features and develop new capabilities
• Proficient in writing Software which is suitable for versioning, updating, minimizing availability impact, etc
• Hands on experience with handling customer feedback, bring-up, debugging, customer delivery, and support

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Understanding of Storage technology, Backup products, Agile methodology
• Knowledge of working with and building integrations for applications like DB2, MongoDB, Exchange, SAP HANA , Oracle , VMWare etc will be highly beneficial
