• PROLIM is looking for a person to join our manufacturing team as a NX CAM Post Processor and Simulation Kit developer focused on creating, editing, and optimizing CNC machine post processors and G-code machine simulation kits using Post Builder and/or Post Configurator.
• You will work directly with our clients to gather their project requirements, develop the proposal, perform the development and debugging, and deliver their Post and/or Simulation kit.
• You will work with different brands of vertical mills, lathes, mill-turns, swiss-turns, lasers, wire EDMs, and horizontal machines and a clientele in a wide range of industries. Aerospace, military, job-shops, and many more types of businesses.
• You must be willing to learn and understand a variety of controllers (Fanuc/Siemens/Okuma, Heidenhain, Mazak, etc.) to deliver a functioning product.
• The work is varied and rarely the same, so a person that appreciates diversity and solving a different problem each day will be successful.

Desired Background to be successful in this role:

• Experience with creating and running NC code from NX CAM.
• Understanding of a wide range of NC controllers and able to work with G-code parameters and controller routines.
• Good background with software coding languages and development (TCL, Python, C++).
• Strong understanding of CNC programming techniques and process.
• Likes to develop and optimize code.
• Familiar with CNC machine kinematics.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or machine shop This position will work with our team of NX CAM Application Engineers in our office.
