Functional Area:

• BIW structure component Design & Development

Roles and Responsibilities:

• The Design Engineer is responsible for design of new or existing products, in line with planning, process, legal and quality targets.
• He/she should be able to create complete engineering designs translated in CAD models and creates all the associated documentation as per program requirements.
• Principle Accountability
• Candidates should have hands on experience in Automotive BIW Underbody & Upper Body Components with knowledge of manufacturing process.
• Should have knowledge of BIW structure interfaces & packaging requirements.
• Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts.
• Communicate with the customer on day to day activities.
• Should have knowledge related to BIW components & Master sections
• Should have knowledge of GD & T, Manufacturing process.
• Should have knowledge of BOM management, DMU Management
• Tracking and maintain ing detailed timing plans for the components/systems
• Identification & Documentation of any non-compliances to design rules
• Should be able to conduct/Participate regular design reviews and escalate issues requiring help to management
