Job Description

To develop , qualify and periodically evaluate technical capabilities and process compliance for suppliers of Off Highway Rims to ensure supplies are free of defects and conform to Companies OEM and after market specifications .
To develop , qualify suppliers for Wheels /Rims and Assemblies and on a continual basis audit their process , materials and quality systems to ensure assemblies meet Companies OEM and after market requirements .
To facilitate the process of translating OEM & After Market Rim specifications , drawings to potential suppliers and collaborate with Companies Tire Design /Development and Product Development Organization to ensure seamless execution of new and existing projects .
Key Result Areas:
1. Review Engineering and manufacturing specifications to identify materials required for manufacturing and assembly .
2. Support the process of floating Technical request for Proposal document with potential suppliers , collaborating with Companies Category Sourcing Lead , Business Unit and Tire Design /Development and Product Development teams .
3. Conduct supplier quality control audits on a regular basis to ensure vendors and their supplies remain in compliance with company and customer's specifications and drawings .
4. Communicate with vendors to address customer /field complaints and develop root cause , counter measures using fishbone analysis and other relevant quality management tools .
5. Provide Technical Guidance and assistance to vendors with regards to process enhancement, overhaul production and manufacturing elements to eliminate/reduce defects .
6. Coordinate between Customers, Product development and Design team to ensure translation of customer requirements to vendors and refine designs as required .
7. Maintain Quality Management Documents and reports .
8. Responsible for Product Part Approval Process ( PPAP ) coordinating with OEMs/ After Market customers , Business Units , Product Development & Design /Development team.
9. Coordinate with external certified/accredited Testing agencies to validate specifications and technical requirements.
10. Assess Packaging and Logistics requirements, consistent with Customer requirements for assembly operations.
