Position: Junior Web/UI Designer
Overview: As a Junior UI/UX Designer, you will be a creative force focused on designing engaging digital experiences for web and mobile platforms. You will collaborate with engineering and marketing teams to bring concepts to life, ensuring that user interactions are intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with brand objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to grow in the field of UI/UX design and contribute to a variety of design projects, including websites, mobile app layouts, graphics, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating intuitive, engaging, and brand-consistent web experiences for websites and mobile apps.
- Contribute to the entire design process, from ideation and concept development to final hand-off to engineering teams.
- Support in building websites and micro-sites using content management systems (CMS) and web technologies.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams to help define creative strategies and design ideas.
- Assist in creating mock-ups, prototypes, wireframes, and visual interactions for digital platforms.
- Help design web content such as infographics, icons, logos, and web banners.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to discuss design ideas and creative concepts.
- Support design decisions by providing creative, strategic, and business rationale.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in website design, web technologies, and user experience best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Graphics, Web Design, or a related field, along with a mandatory UI/UX certification, or a strong portfolio demonstrating your design capabilities.
- Fresher or 1+ years of experience in UI/UX design, either through internships, freelance work, or academic projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar software.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and an understanding of front-end development principles.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to resolve them.
- Strong grasp of color theory, typography, and design principles.
- A passion for web and mobile design, with a keen eye for detail and user experience.
- UI/UX certification is mandatory.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with design software like Sketch, Axure, InVision, or UXPin is a plus.
- Basic understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN would be advantageous.
- An eagerness to learn, grow, and experiment with new design trends and technologies.
