Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. Introduction:

This role is to deliver the strategic Legal Technology programme of work, which is delivered in an Agile way.
The primary function of this role is to work as a Appian Developer in the Pune Legal Technology team, working closely with other technical lead and architect to actively contribute to application development, maintenance and deliver requirements raised by the Legal business. This role is part of the global Legal Technology team that includes delivery and support staff in London and Glasgow.

What will you be doing

The primary function of this role is to deliver the functionality requested by the Legal function by closely working with the technical lead:
Rapidly learn applications in the Legal Technology environment
Come up with effort estimates for assigned work
Analyse the legal data to provide right insights to the business/users.
Develop and test features as per acceptance criteria.
Unit test and deliver high quality code on production.
Support RTB in debugging and fix production defects.
Collaborate with testers to analyse defects, verify behaviour, and resolve issues.
Follow Agile development processes defined for Legal Technology team

What we re looking for:

Developing new features on Appian as per the acceptance criteria, identifying bottlenecks and bugs in automation code, and design solutions to mitigate and address these issues
Experience in developing solutions in Appian based on problem statement should have good problem solving capabilities
Expertise in developing CDTs, Nested CDTs, Appian Security, Group Management, Integration Frameworks.
Expertise in SAIL Technology, UX Best Practices, UI Performance, Unit Testing, Deployment
Expertise in Appian Memory Management, Health Check practises
Experience in resolving production issues
Hands on knowledge on databases is an advantage.
Hands-on expert experience on working with BPM tools specifically Appian.
Working cross functionally with other relevant Barclays technology and/or vendor teams
Participating in daily sprint meetings to coordinate development efforts
Previous experience and knowledge of Legal Domain. Sound understanding of legal downstream and related remediation work.
Great communication to interact with users and problem-solving skills, and a good team player

Skills that will help you in the role:-

A degree in engineering, computer science or a quantitative discipline e.g. statistics, physics or mathematics preferred. Banking / finance or Legal experience advantageous but not a pre-requisite
You need to have knowledge on working with BPM technologies.
Hands-on expert experience on RDBMS database platforms, e.g. Microsoft SQL Server/MariaDB.

DevOps pipeline technologies, e.g. GIT, Jenkins, TeamCity.
