Job Summary:
We seek a highly experienced Data Architect (10+ years) to design, build, and manage scalable data architectures supporting enterprise data needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud platforms, master data management (MDM), and big data technologies, ensuring data integrity, governance, and security. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design efficient data solutions and drive industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture & Modeling:
- Design scalable and high-performance data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts.
- Develop logical and physical data models to support analytics, reporting, and operational needs.
- Define and implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to maintain data consistency across systems.
Data Integration & Engineering:
- Develop data ingestion, ETL, and transformation pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Implement real-time and batch data processing using Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or Kafka Streams.
- Ensure seamless integration across cloud and on-premises data environments.
Data Governance & Security:
- Define data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
- Establish data quality standards and implement monitoring strategies to maintain data integrity.
- Implement robust data security measures, including encryption, access control, and auditing mechanisms.
Technology & Performance Optimization:
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement cutting-edge data technologies, tools, and platforms.
- Monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of data processing and storage solutions.
- Establish best practices for data lifecycle management, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud cost optimization.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Scientists, BI Analysts, and IT teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS,), including services like Azure Fabric, Databricks, AWS Redshift
- Strong expertise in data modeling (dimensional, normalization, denormalization).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and transformations.
- Experience with big data frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Apache NiFi, Airflow).
- Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of streaming data solutions (Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, AWS Kinesis).
- Proven experience in data governance, metadata management, and master data processes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with AI/ML model integration into data pipelines.
- Certification in Azure, AWS, (e.g. Azure Data Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and real-time analytics.

- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for data architecture.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly collaborative, capable of working with cross-functional teams.
