Job Description
5+ Years Experience in Core & Application DBA activities Ready to be available in On Call Support for Critical Outages Administrating and implementation of installing, upgradations and managing large Microsoft SQL Server databases. Maintain and monitor all the related Database Servers in Production environment such as SCOM, Idera diagnostic monitor, SolarWinds. Provide technical abilities in database maintenance backups & recovery, log shipping, replication, mirroring, Microsoft failover clustering and implementation in highly critical production SQL Servers environments. Create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning. Deploy tested database updates in production required for all supporting applications for enhancements and database code bug fixes. Manage database backup & recovery & DR planning, database security in collaboration with IT manager and Systems Engineer
. Operate with a high degree of autonomy and ensure stability of database platforms. Provide database production support Assist on the design and implementation of redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets. Perform periodic management tasks and the automate and monitor to support data availability, purging/retention, performance across database
Analyze, resolve application related issues and monitor Applications to ensure there is minimal unplanned down time by analyzing the databases used by M&D Support & Maintenance and advising the teams on improvements/modifications to the applications. Give the team feedback after technical review of the release notes to build and support production environments for deployment and validation purposes. Work with users and development team on escalated issues to identify and analyze technical problems to create solutions for smooth use of existing techniques and/or tools. Develop and implement proper construction for modeling, designing, testing, modifying, and generate reports to lay out the development of the database. Identify, review and approve Database architecture, Design, and Business System Interactions.
Develop and revise processes and procedures to optimize database infrastructure. Development and design of database strategies, system monitoring, high performance solutions and capacity planning for future expansion requirements. Review and evaluate technical and safety standards to expose the design failures and addressing them with database solutions.
Develop database architectural strategies for high availability and disaster recovery. Troubleshoot and solve database and database coding (SQL queries, stored procedures) issues, as well as assist with recommendations on query optimization/index creation and tuning
Create solutions for the high level design issues Implement the changes in testing environment for QA testing to ensure the functionalities of the production parts and inform/update all the teams inv Analyze and identify technical problems and create solutions to Support User Acceptance Tests performed by Clients. Conduct reviews of Technical Analyze, identify and incorporate business requirements to evaluate Database capabilities, review codes to improve system. Test databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
