Job Description
- Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule.
- Ensure that the production is cost effective.
- Take decision for required resources.
- draft a timescale for the job.
- He should keen observer for estimate of costs and set the quality standards.
- He should monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as and when required.
- He should be responsible for the selection and maintenance of machineries and other equipment.
- He should monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes.
- For smooth functioning of plant he need to liaise among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers.
- He must focus and implement work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
- He must ensure that health and safety guidelines are strictly followed.
- He must supervise and motivate a team of workers.
- Review works of each dept and workers as well.
- Identify training needs for workers and staffs.
- Production Manager must be Techno commercial, team builder and motivator.
- He must be aware about govt. statutory requirement.
