Job Description
- Design, develop and debug system software for embedded Linux platforms (OpenSuse, Yocto, Debian or other distributions)
- Use technologies like Subversion, Jenkins and Docker and are familiar with scripting languages and object-oriented programming (Embedded C, C++)
- Package operating system components and software to an OS image for installation and production in the retail scales environment under Linux for PC and ARM-based systems.
- Create software and tools to configure the OS, which will be created and distributed via a dedicated build-chain.
- Work in close cooperation with global teams as well as with end customer application development, support, test, and project management to offer creative solutions for exciting technical cases.
- Evaluate open source and third-party software for leveraging capabilities into the larger development and build ecosystem
- Masters/Bachelors degree in electronics/computer science or equivalent
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in embedded Linux systems, BSP development/porting
- Experience in design and development of embedded systems as well as troubleshooting problems on embedded targets
- Must be hands on in Linux kernel Customization, Integrations and Shell usage ?? Build, support for new peripherals, driver integration
- Proven experience in programming with C++ and scripting language
- Knowledge in the field of interface and network technology (USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP WLAN, ...).
- Any experience with Secure Boot, USB/SD, Wi-Fi, Network, RPC, Displays would be advantageous
- Ability to take quick decisions while working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong documentation and writing skills
- Exposure to QT/QML and Java is added advantage
