Job Description
- Firmware development
- Design, develop and debug system software for embedded Linux platform
- Develop APIs and Linux driver wrapper applications using C++
- Set up build system for package deliveries
- Analyze and enhance efficiency, scalability, and stability of the system resources
- Involve in all stages from requirements till deployment - Specification, design, develop, review, test, document and verification according to development processes
- Integrate and validate new product designs
- Interface with hardware design and development
- Support software QA
- Evaluate the open source and third-party software
- Support and training of end customers
Key Requirements:
- Masters/Bachelors degree in electronics/computer science or equivalent
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in embedded systems
- Experience in design and development of embedded systems as well as troubleshooting problems on embedded targets
- Proven experience in programming with C++
- Knowledge of Systemd, D-Bus and Connman
- Linux knowledge: Experience with embedded Linux and Linux real-time extensions is desired
- Excellent knowledge of operating systems, coding procedures, interfaces, IPs, and hardware systems
- Sound knowledge on compilation/linking/build systems on Linux. Experience with Debian build system is a must. Proficiency in creating and merging Git feature branches, continuous integration (Jenkins) and test-driven design is a plus
- Any experience with Secure Boot, USB/SD, Wifi, Network, RPC, Displays would be advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of software configuration management tools as well as defect tracking tools
- Experience or interest in software architecture is an added advantage
- An analytical mind in addition to a problem-solving attitude
- Ability to take quick decisions while working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong documentation and writing skills
