- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with data structures/algorithms and software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java). Preferred qualifications: 4 years of experience with data structures/algorithms and software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python or Go). Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting distributed systems, cloud computing, and databases, Incident Management, Coding. About The Job Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Google's servicesboth our internally critical and our externally-visible systemshave reliability, uptime appropriate to users" needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally SREs will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance. Much of our software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation. On the SRE team, youll have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale which are unique to Google, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design. Create, influence and review ongoing design, architecture, standards and methods for services and systems. Participate in service capacity planning, software performance analysis and system tuning. Manage availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of Google services by engineering reliability into software and systems. Respond to and resolve emergent service problems; write software and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. ,
