Job Summary: The Executive Chef leads the kitchen staff and manages all aspects of food preparation and production, menu development, and culinary operations. This role requires a high level of creativity, leadership, and organizational skills to ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests. Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Menu Development: Create, develop, and refine menus that meet the standards and concept of the establishment. Food Preparation and Quality Control: Oversee all kitchen operations, including cooking, preparation, and plating. Maintain consistency and high standards in food preparation and presentation. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets health and safety regulations. Staff Management and Training: Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen personnel. Foster a positive and professional working environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff. Inventory and Cost Control: Manage food inventory, including ordering and purchasing ingredients. Monitor and control food costs, waste, and inventory levels to maximize profitability. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and secure the best prices. Health, Safety, and Hygiene: Ensure the kitchen complies with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. Implement and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
