- Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Chef to join our vibrant caf. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, with the ability to create authentic dishes that align with our cafes unique style. The Indian Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of traditional and modern Indian dishes, ensuring high quality and consistency in every plate served. Key Responsibilities: Menu Planning: Develop and execute a diverse and appealing Indian menu, including main dishes, appetizers, snacks, and desserts. Cooking: Prepare and cook Indian dishes using traditional methods, spices, and ingredients, ensuring the highest standards of taste and presentation. Food Preparation: Oversee daily food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared fresh and in a timely manner. Quality Control: Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes. Ensure that all food is prepared to the cafe's standards and that portion sizes are controlled. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to ensure all necessary ingredients are available while minimizing waste. Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards as per local regulations. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including sous chefs, kitchen assistants, and service staff, to ensure smooth operation of the cafe. Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers to understand their preferences, gather feedback, and introduce them to new dishes. Innovation: Experiment with new recipes and techniques to keep the menu fresh and exciting, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends in Indian cuisine.
