- Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Manager for Pricing in Import to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in negotiating rates with carriers and agents, managing pricing for FCL/LCL, SEA, and AIR shipments, and ensuring efficient booking processes with shipping lines and NVOCCs. This role is pivotal in ensuring competitive and accurate pricing to meet client and market demands Key Responsibilities: Proven experience in pricing and rate negotiation in the import/export industry. Strong understanding of FCL/LCL, SEA, and AIR shipment processes. Excellent negotiation skills with carriers, NVOCCs, and IATA agents. Ability to manage rate filings and maintain inventories with shipping lines. Proficient in coordinating and communicating with various stakeholders, including clients shipping lines, and internal terms. Strong analytical skills to compare and determine the best rates. Ability to handle high-volume rate inquiries efficiently and effectively. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery of quotations. Key Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 year of experience in pricing, rate negotiation, or a similar role in the import/export industry. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
