Job Description
- Certification - BOE Certification Compulsory Job Purpose To ensure overall shift operation of TPP by doing good coordination with Cement Plant for uninterrupted power supply fulfilling all IBR & GPCB statutory norma and to ensure safe & smooth startup & shutdown of boiler, turbine, performance report generation and co-ordination other agencies in the plant. Key Result Areas / Accountabilities Supporting Actions Supervise Plant Operation Supervise Desk & field operational activities for smooth operation to give uninterrupted & quality power with best APC and PHR. Monitor smooth and safe plant operation through continuous interactions with desk engineers and field operators. Regulate power generation as per cement plant demand and take effective decisions during abnormalities To monitor the Boiler efficiency by supervising optimized percentage of excess air and minimized other losses and to optimized turbine operation parameter to minimize turbine heat rate. Interact with cross function service department for maintenance activities to complete job defects. Effective communication with Cement Plant CCR & DG Plant for the smooth controlling of load changes. Supervise the emissions as per norms. Shift management Supervise all operational activities, Daily Performance report generations & housekeeping Maintain Daily Performance reports, daily parameters entry and various operational reports like Coal Bunker filling, Load Fluctuations, etc. Assistance in generation of COO, CSI, GRI & Manufacturing council PPT reports. Daily and Monthly Power Cost monitoring with break-up of all factors contributing it. Real-time data provision related to TPP as per requirement of WCM & production department To report any kind of abnormalities to SH. Coordinate with desk engineers and Field Operators during normal & Emergency situations Ensures completion of jobs against the taken work permit and line up the restoration with all safety precautions. Co-ordination with cement plant & DG for smooth control of power generation from TPP side. Ensure filling of readings of parameters by desk engineers and Field Operators Check list, & Log sheets and regular verification of Datas. Ensure all Standby Equipment availability and its regular changeover as per schedule. Ensure Housekeeping of Stream-2 Turbines. System Implementation To assist superiors to organize and implement ISO, EMS, OHSAS in his Area of maintenance through the involvement of people for the improvement of quality standards and productivity. IBR Regulations: To make boiler ready for annual inspection, running boiler as per IBR Norms. GPCB Norms: To ensure that TPP emission is under GPCB norms by maintaining SOx, NOx and SPM To implement improvement project to reduce repetitive problems/breakdown or losses. Timely submission of Kaizen, OPL, Good to fine, suggestion on system Developing and sustaining Model area in respective sections 100% active participation in respective KFA & GRT meetings and giving inputs related to bring new technology, innovation and improvements towards productivity. Conduct awareness programmers down the level team To know about IMS and other systems requirement and documents for non-conformity in section during internal and external audits or assessments. Implementation of critical spares & consumable SOP without any defilement Identify & arrange rectification of leakage points/unsafe points along with monitor & take corrective action for emission levels. SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area. Educating team about I know my job, I know the hazards associated with my job and I applied control measures & I escalate to my senior among manpower deployed in sections/department manpower including peer, WB & CL manpower Timely conducting scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system. To conduct daily Toolbox, talk as schedule and before starting the job any critical job along with SWP Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event Ensure good housekeeping, limited use of power, no leakage of water, oil, air etc and reporting concerned if any abnormalities for corrective action Adhering of all safety precautions on the site and off the site - Replicating good practice for saving environment for long run sustainability and creating awareness among manpower to save guard natural resources.
