Job Description
- Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and Supplier Management: Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers. Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers. Negotiating contracts and pricing agreements. Purchasing and Order Management: Processing purchase requisitions and orders. Ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Monitoring inventory levels. Compliance and Record Keeping: Adhering to procurement policies and procedures. Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Cost Management: Analyzing market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. Evaluating supplier proposals and bids. Managing procurement budgets. Quality Control: Ensuring that purchased goods and services meet quality standards. Addressing any issues related to defective or unsatisfactory products. Typical Duties: Researching and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities. Preparing and issuing purchase orders and contracts. Monitoring supplier performance and resolving any issues. Maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation. Generating reports on procurement activities and performance. Essential Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of procurement principles and practices. Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
