- Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our dynamic team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MS SQL Server development and solid experience with ETL processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services). As a Senior SQL Developer, you will work on complex SQL queries, database optimization, data warehousing, and reporting solutions, playing a key role in developing and maintaining our data systems. Key Responsibilities: Database Development: Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to ensure high performance and scalability. ETL Development: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes using SSIS to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into data warehouses or operational databases. Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports to meet business and stakeholder needs. Data Integration: Work with various teams to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure smooth data flow through ETL processes. Performance Tuning: Optimize and tune queries, stored procedures, and database objects to improve system performance. Database Management: Manage and maintain the database environment, including backups, restores, and disaster recovery. Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve complex database and ETL-related issues across production and development environments. Collaboration: Collaborate with other technical teams, including business analysts, product owners, and project managers, to deliver business intelligence and data solutions. Documentation & Best Practices: Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, database models, and reporting solutions. Ensure adherence to best practices in database development and ETL procedures. Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SQL developers on best practices for SQL development, ETL, and reporting. Required Skills and Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in SQL Server Development (MS SQL Server 2012 or higher). Proficient in T-SQL, including advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions. Strong experience with ETL development using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). Expertise in developing and maintaining SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports. In-depth understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including design, development, and implementation. Experience in performance tuning and optimizing SQL queries and database objects. Strong understanding of database schema design, normalization, and optimization techniques. Familiarity with version control systems like Git or TFS. Experience in working with large datasets and understanding data quality and data integrity. Proficiency in working with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and other SQL development tools. Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues in both SQL and ETL processes. Experience in managing SQL Server installations, backups, restores, and security. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
