Position Overview: The ManagerProduction & Process Engineering will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire manufacturing process of pharmaceutical products within the production facility. This role will ensure that production targets are met in a timely, efficient and compliant manner while maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) with a strong focus on safety, quality and operational efficiency. Effective collaboration with cross-functional departments and strong leadership skills are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the production plan to meet marketing needs, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare / review BMR, Master formula, records, Protocols and reports. Prepare, review and approve Change control, Temporary change, Deviations, OOS (Out of Specification), OOT (Out of Trend), Assessment report/s, Scale up report, justification report/s and other related documents. Develop SOPs and train production employees to ensure compliance with required standards. Conduct process validations, cleaning validations and solvent recovery in distillation column. Oversee and manage hazardous chemical reactions like hydrogenation and handling of dangerous substances such as Sodium Cyanide, Sodium Azide etc, ensuring safety protocols and precautions are strictly followed throughout. Troubleshoot during manufacturing operations and execute pilot plant batches. Evaluate opportunities for improvement of production and process and implement improvements in collaboration with relevant stake holders through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital. Collaborate with R&D to reduce cycle times, improve yields, and enhance solvent recoveries. Support project team in conducting FAT and installation of production related equipment. Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely dispatch of materials as per the schedule. Perform process calculations including mass balance, energy balance, hydraulic calculations and utility requirements for unit operations. Develop PFDs, Process equipment sizing and handle design and calculations related to agitation and mixing. Qualifications: M.E Chemical / M.Sc Chemistry (From Tier 1 University) Skills & Knowledge: Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of business processes. Excellent planning and organizational skills to meet deadlines and delegate tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills. Proven expertise in API Manufacturing, technology deployment, plant utilization and production initiatives. Ability to ensure adherence to EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards in manufacturing areas. In-depth knowledge of GMP, Quality principles, concepts, industry practices and standards.
