- Job Title: Operations Manager Reports to: Managing Director. Location: Hyderabad. Job Overview: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring a seamless guest experience, and maintaining high standards of service. This role involves managing all departments (housekeeping, front desk, food & beverage, maintenance, etc.) to ensure efficiency and profitability. The Operations Manager ensures compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and budgetary guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations Management: Oversee and manage all hotel departments, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Supervise and coordinate the work of department heads to maintain high operational standards. Ensure exceptional guest service and respond promptly to guest complaints and concerns. Staff Management: Supervise, motivate, and train hotel staff to ensure efficient operations and service excellence. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to improve team performance. Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, training, and scheduling to ensure optimal service delivery. Budget and Financial Management: Monitor departmental budgets and assist in achieving financial targets. Review and analyze financial reports to ensure the hotel is operating within budget. Help develop and implement cost-saving strategies across all departments. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed, including fire safety, food safety, and cleanliness standards. Oversee the maintenance of hotel property and ensure that any issues are addressed quickly. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, including local laws and company policies. Strategic Planning and Improvement: Work with senior management to develop and implement operational strategies that drive revenue and guest satisfaction. Continuously review and improve operational processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with hotel standards and identify areas for improvement. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports on operational performance, guest satisfaction, and financial status to senior management. Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure information is shared promptly and accurately. Participate in management meetings to discuss goals, challenges, and strategies for continuous improvement. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in hotel management or a similar operations role in the hospitality industry. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Solid understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance. Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations effectively. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Education: Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Certification in hotel management or operations (e.g., CHRM, HGM) is a plus.
