- Job Description Job Title: AFC Manager (Air Fin Cooler) Design Location: Chennai Job Type: [Full-time/Part-time/Contract] Job Summary: The AFC Manager (Air Fin Cooler) Design is responsible for leading the design and engineering of Air Fin Coolers (AFC) used in industrial applications. This role involves overseeing the development of AFC systems, ensuring they meet operational, safety, and environmental standards. The AFC Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and installation, to deliver high-quality products tailored to client specifications. Key Responsibilities: Design Leadership: Lead the design and development of AFC systems, ensuring the effective application of heat exchange technology to meet the client's needs and specifications. Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on AFC system design, including the selection of materials, design principles, heat transfer calculations, airflow optimization, and thermal efficiency. Project Management: Oversee the entire design process for AFC projects, from initial conceptualization to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure the AFC design is compatible with production capabilities and budget constraints. Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical support, and ensure that designs meet industry standards and customer expectations. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all AFC designs comply with relevant engineering codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize AFC designs for better energy efficiency, durability, and performance. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed design documentation, including calculations, technical drawings, and reports for internal review, manufacturing, and client submissions. Quality Control: Oversee the testing and validation of prototypes and finished designs, ensuring they meet performance criteria and quality standards. Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in thermal management technology and air cooling systems to ensure that AFC designs incorporate cutting-edge techniques and innovations. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in designing Air Fin Coolers, heat exchangers, or related industrial cooling systems. Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role is preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of heat transfer principles, fluid dynamics, and thermal analysis. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent. Experience with thermal simulation tools and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modeling. Strong understanding of material selection for heat exchangers and corrosion resistance. Excellent project management and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively. Certifications: Relevant certifications in mechanical design or project management are a plus.
