JD: Data Scientist (T8/T9) Structured Data

We are looking for a Data Scientist for our Advanced Analytics and Big Data team. The scope of the team is to generate insights for data-driven decision in the domain of product development using methods of systematical data analysis. The main task is to identify suitable problem statements and develop sustainable solutions in a international and diverse environment. Our methods are based on state of the art technology such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing and agile software development in order to provide groundbreaking insights covering vehicle lifecycle From Presales, Sales, Supplier inbound logistics, Manufacturing to after sales and support functions

Work you ll do

• Help manage large scale, data science projects that leverage data transformation and machine learning models
• Balance the complexity of data, coding/visualization platforms, and stakeholders demands to develop first class tools and insights for leadership
• Automate and streamline projects to increase efficiencies and scalability
• Brainstorm for alternative procedures and processing to optimize our interaction with data and find new insights for deliverables
• Work with Daimler s Businesses and Enabling Areas to support key business functions
• Contribute to storyboarding our results, support recommendations for an executive-level audience and produce leadership-quality deliverables

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience with focus on advanced analytics and predictive modeling.
• Experience in working on multiple projects at once
• Have the ability to discover new opportunities where analytical techniques can be leveraged for solving business problems.
• Deep knowledge about machine learning algorithms such as tree based methods, clustering, regression and classification, dimension reduction techniques etc.
• Exposure to Deep Learning applications and tools like TensorFlow, Theano, PyTorch.
• In-depth understanding of Statistical concepts e.g. probability distributions and statistical tests.
• Advanced coding experience in at least one language (Python, R, Pyspark)
• Bachelor s degree in Data Science / Computer Science / Statistics / Economics / Operation Research related field
• Bachelor s in Engineering with relevant years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced experience in one or more of the following: Spark, Databricks, Azure technical stack (KQL, ADF, ADX)
• Master s degree in Data Science / Computer Science / Statistics / Economics / Operation Research related field.
• Experience in model deployment to cloud/on-prem.
