Job Title: Senior Assistant Chef (Turkish Cuisine) Location: HYDERABAD Reports to: Executive Chef / Head Chef Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Assistant Chef specializing in Turkish cuisine to join our kitchen team. The Senior Assistant Chef will support the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of traditional Turkish dishes, ensure kitchen operations run smoothly, and assist with managing kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Turkish culinary techniques, a passion for authentic food, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of Turkish dishes, ensuring quality, flavor, and presentation meet restaurant standards. Prepare traditional Turkish food such as kebabs, mezes, pilafs, stews, and baklava, following authentic recipes and techniques. Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring they follow proper food preparation and hygiene standards. Manage the cooking stations during peak service times, ensuring smooth kitchen operations. Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, and food is prepared and stored according to safety and sanitation standards. Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or special offerings based on Turkish culinary traditions. Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Assist with food plating and ensure dishes are presented to the highest standards. Monitor food preparation and cooking times to ensure all dishes are served promptly and consistently. Help manage kitchen cleanliness, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and cooking areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Senior Assistant Chef or similar role with a focus on Turkish cuisine. Strong knowledge of traditional Turkish cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising and training kitchen staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Creative and passionate about Turkish cuisine and culinary trends. Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (e.g., large pots, food supplies). Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and fast-paced environment.
