Overall purpose of the Role :
Manage Receiving & Logistics Operations - Manage inbound operations, Contract people management, continuous improvements, Digitalization, delivery performance, Carrier Management, KPI Monitoring and Governance and Process Improvements.
Responsibilities:
To Co-ordinate with CFT teams and follow up with freight forwarder/Carrier for timely execution of inbound flows
Handling of import documentation. Duty checklist/Shipping bill, Technical write ups, BOE etc.
On time duty payments to Customs and freight forwarders
Tracking of Inbound consignments and ensure on time receipts (GRN of goods)
Attend customs queries on time to avoid demurrage/penalties
To coordinate with forwarding agents to achieve a cost-effective logistic solution.
Handle GR Waiver and Bank Guarantee shipments and ensure on time closure.
Ensure on time payments to vendors thereby closing non conformities and GRN Discrepancies.
Ensure 5S and allocate manpower resources based on the criticality in operations.
Environment, Health and Safety:
Follow all Safety Measures as per AZDP standard.
Analyze accidents, make sure that related action plans are implemented.
Enforce safety rules and maintain production means in good working order. Take all appropriate measures in case of risk.
100% adherence to BBS.
Delivery
Manage OTD for incoming materials - 100% material for inspection after GRN within 24 Hours of receipt.
Manage internal logistics operation within the standard lead times and prioritizing missing parts - Cross docking delivery within 02 hours.
Should be able to manage any crisis & High risk activities.
GRN, NC Ageing closure RTV Governance - Imports within 6 months.
GR waiver management- Document retrieval / ageing & closure.
Inspire closure on time.
Cost
Avoid non value added activities through out the logistics operations and capitalize cost savings.
Drive continuous improvement projects to achieve the cost saving goals.
Able to convince internal and external stake holders in achieving the cost targets.
Management
Manage autonomous teams around SQCD objectives : by using visual management, participates to daily meetings of the autonomous teams, communicate objectives and information needed for their achievement, bring teams problems up and organize their solving.
Drive the continuous improvement of results : communicate objectives, involve teams, implement actions, pull and implement improvement ideas, initiate improvement workshops (SWIP) and problem solving groups (PDCA methodology), track improvement (visual management), communicate results.
Involve in budget/manpower planning and manage all contracts related to logistics.
Ensure that the function is resourced adequately, in terms of number of people and skills.
Manage the department KPIs
Training Standardize UDS / Staff.
Knowledge & Experience
Experience in a manufacturing Organization dealing with Imports & Warehousing, Working knowledge in ERP / SAP environment.
5 to 8 years of experience in Logistics/Materials management activities
Experience in OEM / Auto / Manufacturing / Project base industry is preferable.
Exposure in ERP system and SAP is mandatory

BE - Mechanical from reputed institution
