Job Description
- Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical systems, including special-purpose machines and material handling equipment. Work with Project Managers to establish project requirements and deliverables. Perform engineering calculations, create detailed drawings, and prepare technical specifications. Conduct design and production trials, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance. Participate in design reviews for automated systems and prototypes. Coordinate and manage engineering schedules, ensuring timely project execution. Ensure all documentation meets quality and safety standards. Analyze projects to optimize designs and processes. Position: Design Engineer / Sr. Design Engineer (Mechanical) Location: Nigdi, Pune Experience: 2-3 year experience Industry: Automation, Material Handling Equipment Education: BE/B.Tech + ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Software Skills: Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD (2D/3D) Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Proven experience in designing special-purpose machines, conveyor systems, and a variety of sheet metal products. Ability to optimize and upgrade existing systems based on customer requirements. Expertise in 3D/2D modeling, sheet metal design, assembly, and drafting. Proficient in preparing technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM). Strong collaboration skills to coordinate with customers for system approvals and with managers for product development and project reviews. Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in design work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in MS Office and widely used design software. Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects. Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.
