Desired Candidate Profile
We are looking for an ETL Developer/ Architect who will be a part of the design, development and maintenance of Java applications. The developer will be associated throughout the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. Apps will be mainly content based and integrated closely with the web sites and developed using custom framework and designs. In addition to delivering the product the successful candidate will be heavily involved in driving the Solution Centre globally.

ETL Developer/ Architect
- 5+years of experience in Informatica
- 3-5 years of experience on Shell/Unix scripting
- 4+ Years of hands on experience in Oracle / SQL
- Good work experience in performance tuning
Must possess the following
- Good technical problem solving & debugging skills
- Ability to handle projects independently
- Good communication skills, be a Team Player
- Ready to take up challenges and new tasks
- Oracle certification is a plus
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Good understanding of Data modelling tool like Erwin
- Unix Shell Scripting - AIX or Linux
- Strong SQL skills in Oracle 10g/11g - Subqueries, utilize inner/outer Joins, SQL Case Statements and Analytic
- Experience in any of Scheduling Tools - UC-4, Ctrl-M
- Performance tuning of end-to-end integration processes within Informatica workflow, or in the source/target database endpoints as needed
- Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Strong business and communication skills
- Ability to present technical concepts to senior level business stakeholders
- Strong problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills. Supports best practices, platform usage standards and guidelines
Working relationships (Internal/External):
- Product Development Managers - Internal Customer, working with the Brand Product Development teams to develop ideas concepts and solutions that help the brand meet their objectives - Developers - Working very closely with the global development/ engineering teams responsible for the web sites - Project Managers - Working very closely with project managers effectively working across multiple projects and delivering to deadlines
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Deliver across the entire app life cycle- concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
- Working directly with other fellow developers and product managers to conceptualise, build, test and realise products
- Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions
- Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects
- Working along the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps
- Working with the front end developers to build the interface with focus on usability features
- Create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences
- Standardising the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort
- Optimising performance for the apps
- Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the Big Data technologies
- Attend industry events/ conference - both attending and presenting
Person specification:
- Proven commercial software development experience - Big Data Technologies
- Excellent knowledge in information architecture, human computer interaction and usability design principles
- A track record of delivering successful consumer and or business products
- Ability to use analytic data and user testing to inform design decision
- A passion for new consumer technology and the emerging medial and scape
- Ability to multi task and good time management skills
- Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team
- Excellent scoping and estimation skills and excellent testing/ QA skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to liaise with various departments locally and internationally
