Job Description
- Skillzcafe is an end-to-end learning Company that has developed a cutting-edge Enterprise-grade Learning Management System (LMS). Our platform is a cloud-based SaaS product designed for large organizations to digitize their employee learning and training journeys. As part of onboarding multiple enterprise clients and are looking for a hands-on AWS Cloud Engineer to manage, optimize, and scale our infrastructure. Role & Responsibilities AWS Infrastructure Ownership: End-to-end responsibility for setting up, maintaining, and scaling our production and staging environments on AWS. Deployment & Release Management: Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (preferably with tools like CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Monitoring & Alerts: Set up and manage monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus to proactively handle issues. Load & Performance Management: Configure auto-scaling, load balancers, and RDS optimizations to manage high concurrency and ensure smooth uptime. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup strategies and DR plans for critical workloads. Security & Compliance: Enforce IAM policies, VPC security, SSL certs, and maintain security best practices. DevOps & Automation: Write Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Cost Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize AWS usage and pricing to keep infra costs under control. Support: Be the first line of support for any cloud or server-side issues. Available during emergencies or load spikes. Skills & Experience 3+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure for a production-grade SaaS application Experience with key AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Load Balancer, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch Strong knowledge of Linux system administration Ability to configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes (optional but preferred) Experience working in a single-person cloud role or leading AWS infra independently Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning experience Understanding of high availability, scalability, and concurrency Ability to work independently, own the cloud piece end-to-end,
