- Zerocircle is a pioneering material science company that harnesses the power of seaweed to create sustainable materials. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chemist (Biopolymers) to join our team. As a Senior Chemist, you will be responsible for the extraction, modification, and application of biopolymers to develop innovative and sustainable products. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the development of our biopolymer-based solutions and ensuring their quality and performance. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement chemical or physical modification techniques to enhance biopolymer properties. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop biopolymer-based products with improved performance and sustainability. Conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of biopolymer-based products in various applications. Develop and implement quality control protocols to ensure the consistency and quality of biopolymer-based products. Conduct regular testing and analysis to monitor product performance and identify areas for improvement. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in biopolymer research and development. Identify new opportunities for biopolymer applications and contribute to the development of innovative products. Work closely with other scientists, engineers, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of biopolymer-based products into our manufacturing process. Effectively communicate research findings, product performance, and quality control results to stakeholders. Requirements: 1. Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field. 2. Experience: Must: At least 2 years of industry experience in biopolymer research and development, with a focus on modification and enhancement for end application. Experience in a commercial setting, preferably in the biotechnology or materials science industry. 3. Skills: Strong understanding of biopolymer chemistry and properties. Expertise in biopolymer extraction, modification, and characterization techniques. Knowledge of biobased feedstocks, renewable resources, and green chemistry principles.
