- Job Role - Production Supervisor Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor with 2-3 years of experience in a machine shop (sheet metal) environment to oversee production activities related to stainless steel (SS) components. The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of machining processes such as cutting, shearing, punching, and bending, particularly with SS sheets, pipes, tubes, plates, circles, flanges, and related components. Key Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day machine shop operations to ensure production targets and quality standards are met. Monitor and manage SS component production processes, including cutting, shearing, punching, bending, etc. Schedule, assign, and oversee production tasks to ensure timely completion and workflow efficiency. Ensure proper use of equipment and adherence to safety standards within the shop floor. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machinery, processes, and personnel to avoid production downtime. Work closely with quality control to ensure all SS components meet specification and customer requirements. Maintain and update production records, including production reports, work orders, and SAP entries. Train and mentor shop floor personnel to improve skills and maintain high production standards. Coordinate with maintenance teams for regular machine upkeep and preventive maintenance. Qualification, Skills & Experience: BE / Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-4 years of experience in a machine shop, specifically working with SS / sheet metal components (pipes, flanges, etc.). Strong knowledge of SS machining processes: cutting, shearing, punching, and bending. Familiarity with CNC/VMC machines and other relevant shop equipment. Understanding of safety protocols and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in SAP for production tracking and reporting. Ability to lead and supervise a team, manpower handling, managing workload and deadlines effectively. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
